Q. Why not just design my ads and website myself?
A.
Although anyone with the proper software can design your website, a professionally designed site by Blue Duck Designs reflects experience, utilizes the newest technologies, and provides maintenance and support whenever necessary.
Q. How long have you been designing websites?
A. We have been working on websites since 2000 and since then have been a part of the Internet's evolution by staying on top of the latest trends and software.
Q. How long does a website usually take to be made?
A. The length of the website process can vary. Typically a project can last anywhere from a few weeks for a smaller site to a month or two for a large site.
Q. I need my site quickly and for as low a price as possible. What can I do to achieve this?
A. The best way to get your website started for the lowest cost is to have a pretty good idea of what you want from your website. Type up what you want for each page in Microsoft Word, while noting any special images or ideas you may have in mind for each page. This saves our designers time
and you money. Once we receive your information for the site in an organized manner, we can quickly start working on your project. Not having your copy completed before the design process can significantly delay the production of your site.
Q. I have an existing site that I want to have a new look. Can you provide that?
A. Yes. After a while, a website can begin to look stale or the information can become out of date. We can help you modernize your existing site and bring all your info up to date. Often you can save money by this method because much of the text and logos can be reused.
We have examples of site redesigns in our online portfolio.
Q. How much will it cost me to have Blue Duck Designs make my site?
A. The overall cost of the site varies based on project complexity and number of pages. Once you have an idea of what you want from our site, our staff will gladly provide you with a free estimate. For a rough idea see our Pricing page for our price chart.
Q. Do you have a way of getting my new site to search engines so people can find it?
A. Yes. Included with your website setup is submission to the top search engines. By using Search Engine Optimization techniques, we will do what we can to get you on those top lists so people can easily find your site without having to already know the website address.
Q . Does it cost a lot to get my own website address
(ex. www.your-name.com)
A. Not at all. Registering your domain name generally costs only $7.99 a year. Many people decide to register multiple addresses and then we can redirect them to your main host. This allows you to compensate for alternate spellings or names for very little cost.
Q. Can I see my website in progress as you design it?
A. Yes. We will upload your site to a draft directory where you will be able to view and submit comments before the site goes live.
Q. Do you provide hosting for my new website?
A. We currently do not personally host pages but we have found affordable hosting packages that we find very reliable with
third party companies. Such hosting packages start at around $10 a month and provide 99% uptime, email, site stats and other benefits.
Q. How many changes can I request to the drafts?
A. We will make as many revisions to the drafts as requested until it meets your approval. Once it is approved, we will add text and the other content to the pages.
Q. Do you offer a
guarantee on your work?
A.
We completely guarantee our work. If after viewing the initial draft you are not satisfied and wish to have Blue Duck Designs stop work on your site, we will refund 100% of your deposit.
Q. Who owns the finished website?
A. Once the final payment is made, you have complete ownership to your site, including all pages, logos, images and copy. Return to top

Q. How long does it take to design an ad or a flyer?
A. In most cases, small print media can be done in just a few days. Like with websites, if you have the text you want in digital format, the process can go even quicker. This way our designers can spend more time actually making your design look great and not
spend time typing lots of text.
Q. What types of print media have you done before?
A. We have experience in creating ads, flyers, menus, discount cards, business cards and others.
Q. After you make my design, how does it get printed?
A. If you would like us to send your work to the printer, we will analyze your project and decide what local printer would be your best option. Once it is sent, it typically takes less than a week to get your finished product.
Q. Can I view samples of your work?
A. Yes. Samples are located in the Portfolio as provided. by the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.
